Renewable Fuels Nebraska Applauds Governor Pillen’s Leadership on Tri-State Clean Hydrogen Hub

LINCOLN, NEBRASKA — Today, Governor Jim Pillen announced the creation of a partnership between Nebraska, Iowa, and Missouri, to develop a clean hydrogen hub in the tri-state region. This agreement will allow the three states to jointly pursue federal funding for the newly-established Mid-Continent Clean Hydrogen Hub (MHC2), which will help accelerate the production, transportation, and use of hydrogen across Nebraska and the other two states.

Renewable Fuels Nebraska Executive Director Dawn Caldwell issued the following statement in response:

“Nebraskans want their leaders to lead, and that’s exactly what Governor Pillen is doing through the Mid-Continent Clean Hydrogen Hub. Not only will this crucial partnership allow Nebraska’s clean and renewable energy producers to expand their work, but it will pave the way for more innovation, more investments, and more jobs across the Cornhusker State. We look forward to working with Governor Pillen, his team, and the Legislature to advance this application — and to cement our state’s status as one of the country’s leading clean energy producers.”
