Meet a Member Monday, April 12, 2021
Today’s Meet a Member Monday feature highlights Bioleap. Based out of Tampa, Florida, Bioleap’s leadership team holds over 30 years of experience in biorefinery engineering which allowed them to become the first company to perfect and patent a Dryer Exhaust Recovery System, otherwise known as DEER. DEER captures waste energy from dryer/thermal oxidize systems to produce clean, boiler-quality steam which can then be recirculated through ethanol plant systems. Several Nebraska plants have already integrated the system into their existing operations. The result has been increased energy efficiency and production capacity, ultimately allowing plants to shrink their overall carbon footprint continuing the ethanol industry’s commitment to a healthy environment.
The greater efficiency provided by the DEER system has allowed these plants to remain market competitive while increasing profitability to have a positive impact on Nebraska’s economy.
RFN thanks Bioleap for their commitment to RFN and the Nebraska ethanol industry.
